The Careers and Enterprise Company vision is to create a strong network linking schools and colleges with business and careers activities that make an impact so that every young person in England is prepared for the fast-changing world of work. Our research shows that being better prepared for work means making better choices.
Chantelle Ellis is the new Careers and Enterprise Adviser for Franklin College in Grimsby, working with Emma Swinburn, Employer Engagement Manager at Franklin college to develop a strategy to increase careers, enterprise and employer engagement to further develop the excellent links Franklin has already achieved across the business community.
Chantelle HR Coordinator at Forrester Boyd said:
“I am really looking forward to the partnership with Franklin College and getting to work with the young people to enhance their skills and prepare them for their future careers.”
The role of an Enterprise Adviser is to work with the Senior Leadership team to further develop the Careers Strategy, ensuring that every young person gets all of the information they need to understand the local labour market, and opportunities to enable them to gain good careers.
1500+ schools and colleges across England are now matched with Enterprise Advisers from the world of business, supporting schools with their careers plans to engage more business commitment, impacting 1.5 million young people.

Careers and Enterprise Advisers are business volunteers who support a local school or college to develop an employer engagement plan that places opportunities with employers at the heart of a young person’s education. Careers and Enterprise develop tools and resources for Enterprise Advisers to help raise young people’s aspirations and confidence and to impact their journey into the workplace.
