During week commencing the 5th November the Humber Business Growth Hub successfully delivered a series of launch events for growing SMEs across the region, and businesses were invited  to learn more about how to access more than £6million of business support funded from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

With events in Hull, Brigg, Grimsby, Driffield and South Cave, SMEs from across the Humber region were able to meet with representatives of the Growth Hub, including its business advisors and partners, to learn more about the support that can be accessed through the new #GrowMySME Programme.

Over 300 delegates attended the five separate events across the region, resulting in 35 expressions of interest to access the #GrowMySME Programme. Delegates were able to hear from the Humber LEP’s Small Business Champion, Jo Smedley, and other prominent local business owners on the importance on accessing business support to grow their businesses.

Jon Brunton, Manager of the Humber Business Growth Hub said:

“The turnout across all of our events in the region was excellent and judging by the atmosphere and topics of conversation during the post-presentation networking session, many of the business representatives found the event of great use. I hope SMEs in the Humber region will now make the most of our comprehensive package of support across the three schemes of the #GrowMySME Programme over the next three years.”
