The Humber Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and the Careers & Enterprise Company are delighted to host the Summer Schools Conference on Friday 30th June.
The event will commence at 9:00am (refreshments from 8.30am) at The Humber Bridge Hotel, Far Ings Lane, Barton Upon Humber DN18 5RG.
The conference will showcase the latest developments and the range of support available to young people within the education and skills arena locally and nationally. It will focus on the career landscape, apprenticeship reforms and the economic changes brought about by the emerging sectors, including renewables.
The Humber LEP will summarise key elements of the Humber Employment and Skills Strategy, and illustrate how we can all work together towards addressing local skills gaps.
You will hear from a range of excellent speakers including Joanna Hall, Deputy Director of Schools, Ofsted who will explain Ofsted’s latest developments and Paul Lewis, Director of Government Relations for the Careers & Enterprise Company who will update on government policy in relation to careers. In addition to the contributions from Industry and education leaders, you will have the opportunity to participate in a range of informative workshop sessions designed to explore the support that is available to schools and colleges in the Humber region.
