The Humber LEP will be flying the flag for the region at the UK Northern Powerhouse Annual Conference and Exhibition 2017, Manchester, next week (21 and 22 February).

As part of the ‘LEP Zone’ at the Exhibition, the Humber LEP will be promoting the Humber and its growing reputation as the UK’s ‘Energy Estuary’. The LEP will be seeking to highlight the opportunities for investment in the area and tell the story of positive change in the region.

Andrew Percy MP, Northern Powerhouse Minister will be amongst the speakers at the event.

An audience of around 3,000 business leaders, council representatives and Government officials is expected at the event, over two days.

Lord Haskins, Chair of the Humber LEP, said:

“We at the Humber LEP realise the importance of staying connected with the business community in the North.

“It is important that we join with our local authorities and neighbouring LEPs in representing our regions at events such as this. The Northern Powerhouse provides business opportunity and a network of contacts that benefit our economy and its growth.

“Not only is it a great opportunity for us to share ideas, contacts and to see the ambitions of the Northern Powerhouse, the Exhibition provides us with an excellent platform on which to showcase the Humber to a wider Northern network – we must continue to push our reputation forward.”
