The Humber LEP Board today unanimously agreed the following position:

“Renewables and the development of the Energy Estuary have been the primary focus of the Humber LEP since we began and we have had strong support from Government to help us secure our ambitions.

“We have supported the Able Marine Energy Park since the inception of the Humber LEP, making it the largest of our Enterprise Zone sites and speaking in favour of it at the public inquiry.  Most recently we supported Able to secure a £14.9m grant to accelerate the development.

“We continue to support the Able Marine Energy Park and wish to see it proceed in full with urgency.

“We are disappointed that ABP have taken this step and hope that they will reconsider in the best interests of the Humber economy.”
