The 4 Springboard teams across the Humber help young people aged 18-24 to move forward. Here is an excellent example of the hard work the advisers do each day to engage young people.
“Lorraine from Springboard found me as they were looking for Graduates that were unemployed to help them to get into work or internships.
Before Springboard I was being placed into different work experiences with the Job Centre and I had found one of the Graduate placements myself.
Springboard helped me find different jobs to apply for which I had not previously seen, helped me to apply for jobs both online and in person. They helped me with confidence in different situations and Lorraine arranged work experience in the area in which I wanted to work, with the Environment Team at North Lincolnshire Council.
After attending a Graduate Placement interviews I got an 8 week Summer Graduate Placement with the Environment doing research into Ancient woodland.
This inspired me to go back into education, as I really enjoyed doing the research with the council, and I am currently studying for a Masters in Medieval Studies.
I found Springboard very helpful, they are always able to answer questions about work, job applications or making a CV.
I would like to thank everyone at Springboard for their help.” Abigail
‘I am passionate about my role as a Springboard adviser and love to see young people go on to do well in the world. I wish Abigail all the luck in the future she has been a real joy to support with a real get up and go attitude to all areas of work.’
