An upcoming workshop will help ensure local businesses don’t miss out on current EU funding opportunities.
On Wednesday 21 February, a free workshop will take place in Driffield showcasing European funding opportunities for micro, small and medium-sized rural businesses in the Humber.
Among the funding programmes to be discussed is the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, which is making in excess of £2 million available for projects focused on food processing, rural business development and rural tourism infrastructure (including tourism accommodation) in the Humber.
There will also be a chance to learn more about the LEADER programme, which is designed to support the following national priorities:
- Increase farm productivity
- Support micro & small businesses and farm diversification
- Boost rural tourism
- Provide rural services
- Provide cultural and heritage activities (where this promotes growth in the tourism economy)
- Increase forestry productivity
The Humber Business Growth Hub will also be there to provide an overview of the other funding and business support that is available to businesses in the Humber.
The event will take place at Driffield Rugby Union Football Club, Kelleythorpe, Driffield, YO25 9DW.
Registration and a buffet lunch will be available from 12.30pm, with the main event commencing at 1.15pm and finishing at 3.30pm. Networking opportunities will be available both before the event over lunch and at the end.
