The Humber LEP met with Iceland’s UK ambassador on their recent visit to Grimsby, the purpose of the visit was to exchange views and concerns about trade after Brexit.
Stefán Haukur Jóhannesson, Iceland’s UK ambassador, travelled to the Humber for a two-day visit alongside Deputy Head of Mission Ingólfur Friðriksson last week. The pair met with Kishor Tailor, Chief Executive of the Humber LEP, as part of their trip.
Mr Tailor discussed the Humber LEP’s Clean Growth strategy and decarbonisation aims with the ambassador and they discussed how co-operation post-Brexit could be mutually beneficial for both Grimsby and Iceland due to long-standing links between the fishing industries of both.
