The Humber LEP hosted a Parliamentary Reception at Westminster earlier today, in partnership with Humber business organisations Bondholders, Team Humber Marine Alliance (THMA) and the Hull and Humber Chamber of Commerce.
The Reception, sponsored by Martin Vickers MP, gathered political leaders and local authorities from the Humber region, alongside national Government and current and potential investors, including Andrew Percy MP, Minister for the Northern Powerhouse.
Stephen Savage, Vice Chair of the Humber Local Enterprise Partnership said:
“The aim of today’s Parliamentary Reception was to celebrate the growing opportunity in the Humber, and to promote the success we have had in attracting investment into our ‘Energy Estuary’. This is part of the ongoing work with our partners to raise awareness of our region and the great potential that we have for further growth and investment.
“The Humber message was very well received, and it was encouraging to see so many influential people here from business, Parliament and Government. Their continued support will be essential for capitalising on the Humber’s momentum, and if today is anything to go by then I am certain that we have it.”
