The LEP is seeking a talented communications professional to join its small and dynamic team, working with public and private sector organisations across the area.
This is an ideal role for a creative person seeking to build a career in PR/communications, giving you the opportunity to use your skills and experience to deliver high-profile and effective communications.
You will be responsible for the LEP’s media and public relations activity across a range of projects and issues, manage our relationships with local, national and specialist media, and deliver a portfolio of effective communications channels with the LEP’s stakeholders.
You will have the opportunity to work with some of the area’s leading businesspeople and communicators, as well as local partners and central Government departments.
You will be encouraged to innovate and spot opportunities, using social media and other tools in imaginative ways to support the LEP’s marketing and communications. Using your excellent written English, you will write news releases and draft responses to news stories involving the LEP, and using your influencing skills you will work with our Board members and partners to lead the communications response around key news stories.
You will take pride in your work and ensure that communications across the LEP’s activities are professional and effective.
