About the company
Kwik Tuf Ltd was formed in early 2005, with the purpose of supplying glass and associated products to business and trade.
With a history of investing in new and modern manufacturing equipment, Kwik Tuf Ltd offers an extensive collection of products ranging from ‘A’ rated energy efficient double glazed units, mirrors, shelving, shower screens, balustrade and balcony panels, display cabinets, table tops, stair treads, floor panels, glass partitions and screens.
About the project
Regional Growth Fund (RGF) money supported a major £1.5million expansion project comprising investment in new premises and equipment and including the purchase and renovation of a 23,000 square foot factory just yards from the original company site. Combined with the purchase of a state-of-the-art glass toughening plant and electrical substation, the company has reorganised production to create two self sufficient factories.
The entire project enhances the business, providing increased production capacity, the ability to work with the most technologically advanced glass products on the market, safer working practices, improved customer service and reduced lead times.
The investment has resulted in over 20 full time positions being created, exceeding the initial commitment to create 15 new jobs.
Nigel Thomas, Managing Director at KwikTuf Ltd said, “The additional investment enabled our business to start the project earlier than anticipated, which was vital in terms of retaining customers. We’re delighted with the progress the company has made so far. The grant has enabled us to invest wisely in new equipment and staff, which has helped us to develop our product range, whilst still maintaining a reputation for quality and service”.
