Businesses can now apply for smaller Growing the Humber Grants after an extra £1m was added to the fund as part of the Humber LEP Growth Hub.
The funding, which is part of £2.5m that was awarded by the Government’s Regional Growth Fund for the Growth Hub as part of a bidding process run by Lancaster University, formed part of the Hull and Humber City Deal.
Businesses can now bid for amounts between £5k and £2.5m. Previously, the Growing the Humber funding started at £20k.
To complement this, the Growth Hub working with the Acorn Fund will also be providing start-up grants for businesses up to the value of £5k.
Businesses can meet our team on stand 63 at the Chamber Expo tomorrow (Tuesday) and Wednesday in Hull at the Sports Arena, Walton Street.
Our online Growth Hub also goes live this week – Humber Business Week – for beta testing, and will help businesses to find what they need in the fastest possible time. We’re keen to receive feedback to help us develop the website, and information from more support organisations to add to what is there.
Led by the Humber LEP and supported by a whole host of public, private and voluntary sector organisations, the Growth Hub will bring together in one place information about business support in the Humber and provide access to impartial advice.
The Humber LEP Growth Hub and its programmes which aim to help businesses navigate the support available to Humber businesses as well as fill in the gaps in the support needed for businesses will launch after beta testing is completed and changes and additional information added to the site.
The online hub is supported by a helpline – 0300 456 3565 and 8 extra business advisers in the region who can be reached on:
