A 12 year old Grimsby company looks set to expand its business with the help of a grant from the Regional Growth Fund supported Growing the Humber programme.
Since 2002, Jet Tech Ltd, a small, family run business based in Humberston, has been providing specialist drainage solutions to the private, commercial and public sectors.
A grant of £15,000 will be put towards the purchase of specialist surveying equipment which will be able to survey larger and longer drains than they can at present.
Currently, the company can survey drains of up to 225mm in diameter and 60m in length, but thanks to the new equipment, that will increase to up to 600mm in diameter, and 300m in length.
George Renardson, Managing Director of the company, said, “We have a unique opportunity to grow the company through the purchase of this specialist equipment. It means that we can survey larger commercial size drains, and hopefully through identification of problems, be able to provide the remedial solutions for the company concerned as well.”
Councillor Ray Oxby, portfolio holder for regeneration, said, “The capital equipment fund is helping all sorts of businesses in North East Lincolnshire, this being the latest. Whether the fund helps secure one new job, or more, we’re pleased to be able to help all sorts of companies. I wish Jet Tech well.”
