The British Business Bank together with the Local Enterprise Partnerships is holding a series of regional briefing events to tell local partners about the new £400m Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund (NPIF) and how to access it.
An event will take place in each of the 10 Local Enterprise Partnership areas within the NPIF region between the 01 and 17 March 2017, with the first event taking place on 1st March at the Ferens Art Gallery in Hull.
The Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund will provide micro-finance, debt and equity finance to businesses across the North, with investments from £25k up to £2m.
The Humber has invested £5.7m of its European Structural and Investment Funds into the NPIF, which is being matched with further investment from the European Investment Bank.
Isobel Mills, Chair of the Humber ESIF Committee said:
“It is essential that our businesses have access to the right package of finance to help them grow. The Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund will be a key part of the finance offer available to Small and Medium Sized Businesses in the Humber.
It is crucial that businesses locally are aware that this fund exists and I would urge business support organisations and intermediaries to attend the event on 01 March to find out more about the package of investment available.”
