Northern Powerhouse minister, Andrew Percy, visited Hull today to announce the third instalment of Growth Deal Funding secured by the Humber LEP.
Lord Haskins, Chair of the Humber LEP, and Councillor Stephen Brady, Leader of Hull City Council and LEP Board member, were in attendance for the announcement on Scale Lane Bridge, Hull.
The minister saw how the funding will be used to enable new commercial and residential development and improve flood defences along the River Hull. He also heard about how the other new projects across the region will contribute to economic growth.
The third tranche of funding from the Government’s Local Growth Fund amounts to £27.9m for the Humber region, with a collective investment of £141.5m when added to the previous two deals.
This funding will be used to fund eight projects across the Humber. These projects can be found here.
