Katy is Director and co-founder of Enviromail, a Hull based Social Enterprise.
Established in 2005, Enviromail is a thriving recycling company which uses commercial activity as the foundation for its training programme which supports some of the hardest to reach and disadvantaged people throughout the Humber region.
Enviromail’s award winning training and work experience program has evolved from a grass roots community project into the Enviro-hub; a 20,000 sq ft sheltered factory and centre of excellence for recycling, training and social enterprise. The company diverts over 1,500 tonnes of recyclables annually, and trades across the globe.
Enviromail are proud winners of the Barclays Bank Social Entrepreneurs of the North, the Greenport Workforce Development Award and recognised Disability Confident Leaders.
With a passion for both the Humber region and the third sector, Katy has used her experience to work with business partners throughout the region, to promote Disability Confident, improve the third sector supply chain and champion the benefits of CSR.
Katy is an experienced board member at a regional level and continues to highlight the important role of social enterprise in regional economic growth.
