Malcolm ‘retired’ in 2012 from the commercial property consultancy he set up in 1990, ‘Scotts’, after setting up offices in Hull and Great Grimsby.

He has been involved in economic development and regeneration work in both the public and private sectors and represented private sector organisations in partnerships seeking to improve the central economy of Hull and on the Humber regional scale.

Ambitions for the growth of the regional cultural economy have resulted in more recent investment in a recording studio and a venue in Hull together with directorships at Hull Kingston Rovers and Hull Kingston Radio.

Additional LEP roles: Malcolm is the Humber LEP’s representative on the Hull City of Culture Board.
