This scheme involves the construction of a new off-road shared use footway/cycleway along the A161 Lower Bridge Street/Bridge Street in Goole. The 1km link will provide a safe and continuous cycle route between the residential area of Old Goole and key employment, education, healthcare, leisure and retail facilities in Goole town centre.
The new route will encourage more local residents to make short local trips on foot or by bike, supporting the high percentage of Old Goole residents without access to a car while reducing carbon emissions and improving road safety by segregating cyclists and motorised vehicles.
