The project will deliver an integrated programme of highways and public realm improvement works in the Cartergate/St James square area of the Grimsby Town Centre, extending the £6m Local Sustainable Transport Fund scheme for Riverhead Square/ Station Approach implemented between 2012-2014 which supported sustainable travel modes.
The Project will help to de-risk and unlock a major, mixed use development project at Cartergate that will address market failure in the provision of grade A office accommodation in the town centre and support the retention and expansion of a major professional services firm in Grimsby. The scheme will deliver significant transport and economic benefits.
