Existing defences along the River Hull are in a poor state of repair, with Environment Agency data showing a 60% probability of breach or overtopping at various locations. This project provides improvements which protect existing homes, businesses (mostly SMEs) and critical infrastructure, and enables future growth both on the 11 Enterprise Zone sites along the River Hull corridor and in housing.
