Highways England’s A160/A180 Port of Immingham Improvement Scheme was completed in 2017, improving the strategic road connection to the Port of Immingham. This project will undertake essential maintenance on the local roads to complement the A160 scheme.
This project will seek to improve the condition and quality of the highway asset and ensure they are of a suitable standard to accommodate existing traffic flows and are also capable of handling additional traffic, from the growth of existing industries or new developments within the area. Furthermore to help improve sustainable travel linkages from North and South Killingholme to the area, it is proposed that the existing cycleway on Staple Road should be upgraded and a new facility provided along Church Lane.
