Two members of the Care Plus Group Employability Team were recognised at the Health Education England Talent for Care Awards which took place in Leeds last week. Sharon Stead, Employability Services Manager and Laura Robinson, Trainee Admin Assistant were both highly commended at the awards. The event was held at the Leeds Beckett University hosted by Health Education England on the 18th of March and show cased talent across the Yorkshire and Humber Region.
Sharon Stead received her highly commended recognition in the Leadership Award category, which is aimed at any colleagues who deserve to be celebrated for their continuing leadership and innovation, as well as the positive impact they have had in relation to the healthcare support staff education and training agenda.
Laura Robinson received her highly commended recognition for the ‘Rising Star Award’ for ‘Learner Who has made the Most Impact’. This award is about recognising people who can clearly demonstrate how undertaking a learning programme and/or Apprenticeship has made significant difference to their lives or others, achieving beyond what they thought was possible.
Laura Robinson said:
“Being highly commended for the rising star award is a great achievement. This has made me more motivated and confident whilst at work. I would like to thank the employability team for the opportunity to become part of the team.”
Sharon Stead said:
“I feel honoured to have been recognised for the Leadership Award and Employability Services are very proud of Laura’s achievements. Laura is an inspiration to others and more over she has now been shortlisted for the local Health and Social Care Awards 2016 in the categories of ‘Staff Member of the Year’ and ‘Newcomer of the Year’.
