A second call for applications for grants from the England 2014-15 European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) is expected in July. In anticipation of this, and to guide potential applicants through the process the Humber Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), through its Humber Technical Assistance Partnership, is hosting workshops in Laceby on 14 July and Hull on 15 July. It is expected that there will be further calls for projects later in the year too.
The ESIF Growth programme unites the European Social Fund (ESF), European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. Notionally, the combined funding will allocate almost £89m to help grow the Humber’s economy.
The information workshops are:
Tuesday 14 July at Oaklands Hotel near Grimsby, and starting at 10am and completing with lunch at 12.30.
Wednesday 15 July at Holiday Inn, Hull Marina, starting with lunch at 12.30pm and presentations from 1.30pm. See below for links to book places.
The workshops will explore what each funding call means to each area. They will outline the application process, explain how to submit cross-LEP applications, eligibility criteria, outputs/results, monitoring and contract management. There will be opportunities to discuss your potential projects with experts during the events. The events are open to individuals and businesses based in the East Riding of Yorkshire, Hull City, North East Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire Council areas.
Lord Haskins of Skidby, Humber LEP chair said:
“Good decision making on local opportunities is driven by local knowledge and our ability to advise on the viability of local projects is a small but excellent example of how devolved powers can make a positive contribution to developing thriving economies and communities.”
