Procurement Opportunity: Humber Peer Networks Programme
The Humber LEP Business Growth Hub is seeking to commission suppliers to deliver a Humber Peer Networks Programme.
Peer Networks is a national initiative funded by the Department for Business, Environment and Industrial Strategy that is being delivered locally through the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) network and their respective Growth Hubs. The programme’s longer-term aims are focused on reducing the UK productivity gap by helping business leaders find practical solutions to strategic and operational challenges.
The Humber LEP’s Business Growth Hub has been allocated almost £850,000 of new funding to help support the economic recovery of businesses in the Humber.
This funding forms part of the Humber LEP’s updated Coronavirus delivery plan – which sets out how the LEP will prioritise existing resources to work with our partners to help the Humber’s businesses and people through the next phase of the COVID-19 economic impact.

Given that the global pandemic has had an unprecedented impact on the business community and the impending EU Exit on 01 January 2021 will impact further on businesses, the Growth Hub seeks to undertake reviews with medium and large companies in the Humber, to understand the business needs and opportunities
Almost 3,000 businesses from across the Humber region were supported by the Humber LEP’s Business Growth Hub in the last year.
Overall, 2,972 businesses received either light, medium or high intensity support from the Hub from April 2019 – March 2020, which was an increase of 149 businesses from the year before. In addition, businesses that worked with the Growth Hub in 2019-20 were able to go on to secure £7.1M of private sector investment to enable their growth plans.
The Humber Business Growth Hub is hosting a number of fully-funded, free to access online webinars offering businesses expert advice about reopening after Covid-19 and the steps to take to ensure their staff and customers stay safe.
As part of the #GrowMySME scheme, the webinars will focus on businesses across; factories and warehouses, offices, remote working environments such as construction sites, and retail, leisure and hospitality.
