A major new contract opportunity benefiting from the Humber LEP’s European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) allocation has now gone live.
The programme of support is being commissioned by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to help those with a history of long term unemployment into work.
The contract will deliver over £5.4m of support to those who are furthest from the labour market and help to tackle barriers to employment in the Humber and Greater Lincolnshire LEP areas.
Humber ESIF Committee Chair Isobel Mills said:
“We are pleased to see the launch of the DWP Tender Opportunity as the programme will provide much needed support to unemployed people across our area.
“The Humber LEP has worked in partnership with the Greater Lincolnshire LEP and DWP to bring this opportunity forward using funding from the European Social Fund.
“This investment represents another key milestone in the delivery of the Humber’s ESIF Strategy and we look forward to seeing the positive change in our most disadvantaged communities that this contract will bring about.”
The deadline for responses is 14 June 2016 with the contract anticipated to commence in December 2016.
